Deck the halls - Christmas hallway decorating ideas

From twinkling fairy lights to garlands brimming with baubles, colourful candy and embellished wreaths, dress your hallways and the rest of your home with festive cheer this coming Christmas!

Mix and match different colours of fairy lights to create your very own winter wonderland. Hang them from the ceiling, drape them around a mirror or fashion a glowing garland to the door to create some jovial ambience.

Take inspiration from the sugar plum fairy and swap traditional popcorn and cranberry garlands for colourful strands overflowing with vibrant sweets. Entwine them through bannisters or hang them above a doorway to create a little fail-safe festive cheer.

To make these easy yet effective garlands, you’ll need an ordinary office stapler and a generous stash of wrapped sweets. Simply staple the ends of the wrappers together and hang them wherever you please. Yummy and decorative!

Before decking the halls with boughs of holly, freshen-up the walls with a lick of paint. Christmas is the one time of year we tend to welcome hordes of visitors into our homes, so why not spruce it up a little?
